Thank you, Honey!
I had a customer come in today looking for local, organic honey because his wife is suffering from allergies and he wanted to buy her some honey at provisions to help her out with her stuffy, sneezy, sleepy, (she is starting to sound like one of the seven dwarfs)…. symptoms.
What a good hubby!
He is not the first one to inquire if we had locally-made honeys for sale for that very reason.
I didn’t know this until last summer… A natural remedy for allergies is honey.
According to the article “Benefits of Honey for Allergy Relief” written by Tom Ogren, “Honey contains bits and pieces of pollen and honey, and as an immune system booster, it is quite powerful.” If someone is, for example, is experiencing an allergic reaction to clover, local honey will contain bits of clover and the honey will react as an immune booster!! In order to get these good effects of honey, take a couple of full teaspoons a day.

In this case, that allergen culprit is pollen — the very same ingredient bees use to make their honey.” We sell the raw stuff here at provisions as well.
Also a good idea… HONEY AND PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH! Oh man, I make these for lunch here at the shop.
